Pedagogical Museum of Ukraine

This unique building is located in Vladymyrskaya street, 57, and well known to all Kievers. The branch of the V.I.Lenin Museum has been here since 1938. In 1982, the new building was installed nearby Khreschatic street, in European square and the house in Vladymyrskaya street was given to teachers and people who work for educational instituations.

Now, "The House of Teacher" is situated here. The story of house has started since 1901 when the museum of Pedagogics was founded in Kiev by wish of public organizations. However, the museum did not owe private premises and thus, the first exhibition has taken place in the newly opened Troytskyi Public House. It was temporary and shortly afterwards the museum expositions have been moved to the Women Academy (High Educational Courses for Women) and later on the exhibition was held in the Trade School of Tereschenko.
