Party of Regions leader Victor Yanukovych is ready to refuse pretending for Prime Minister’s post for the sake of country’s interests.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, he said this answering journalists` question whether he would refuse the post of Prime Minister if a coalition with BYuT is formed, considering that BYuT faction representatives claimed that only Yulia Tymoshenko must head the government.

Victor Yanukovych stressed Ukraine is living through “a very complicated period of regular ordeals”, and, in this situation, the parliament should work.

The Party of Regions leader believes it is necessary to adopt an anti-crisis program, other laws, and to immediately start their implementation.

“Thus, in this situation, we should forget about political ambitions and chairs”, Victor Yanukovych stressed.
