Party of Regions leader Victor Yanukovych does not rule out that Oleksander Lavrynovych may become the Verkhovna Rada Speaker if the Party of Regions and BYuT form a coalition.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, in particular, Victor Yanukovych disclosed to journalists on Friday, that he met with President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko to discuss economic issues and the situation in the country.

According to him, Victor Yushchenko asked him whether the Party of Regions faction will support the candidacy of Ivan Pliushch for the post of the Verkhovna Rada Speaker. According to Victor Yanukovych, he said that “this decision will depend on not only the Party of Regions faction”.
