President Victor Yushchenko took part in festive gathering arranged on the occasion of Oil and Gas Industry Worker’s Day, according to the President`s press-office. “We are honoring today the unique work for any economy of the world. You produce goods that is often and rightfully called the bread of industry…”, - said Victor Yushchenko greeting those present.

“That is why as a President I have always been and will be granting primary attention to oil and gas industry”, - he added.

President also spoke of importance of the industry for Ukrainian economy particularly in development of energy independence of our state and diversification of energy resources’ sources.
