P.Kavaleridze Museum-Workshop

The museum is situated in the house where an outstanding sculptor, dramatist and specialist in theatre art P.Kavaleridze used to live while working on the monument to Princess Olga, in Kiev.

Here, some patterns and projects of a painter are kept (for example the first monument of T.G.Shevchenko in Romna, Ukraine; monument to Grygoryi Skovoroda in Lohvytsy, Chornuhah, Kiev etc), numerous material for his sculpture, some unique photographs, manuscripts of scenarios, some archival material, videotapes of films "Kolyyvschina", "Prometei", "Natalka Poltavka" and some other films, books, editions etc. The studio works which made several films about the artist and helps him to bring his creative thoughts into life. One of these results is making the monuments of G.Skovoroda in Kharkov and Yaroslav the Wise in Kiev by Kavaleridze projects. The video hall and gallery "In the House of Ivan Kavaleridze" are opened and welcome their visitors - they are popularising the best figures of the national art and skilled youth. The museum-workshop today is one of the most well known art houses of Andryyvskyi Uzviz where different kinds of exhibitions are held.
